How to Create and Control a Device Group
Share
Overview
Group Control lets you control multiple Aura lights together from the Aura Labs app. This is helpful if you have more than one Aura Ambient Floor Lamp and want them to respond as one group to fill your whole room with color.
Before You Begin
Make sure:
- Each Aura Ambient Floor Lamp is already set up in the Aura Labs app.
- Each device is powered on and connected.
-
You have more than one compatible Aura device available in the app.
How to Create a Device Group
- Open the Aura Labs app.
- Tap the + button.
- Tap Add Device Group.
- Tap Light Group.
- Select the devices you want to control together.
- Rename your group before saving.
- Save the group.
- To view your new group, tap Group Control at the top of your device list.
Important Notes
If your group includes an Aura TV Backlight
The group will be limited to the preset scenes available for Aura TV Backlight.
If your group includes only Aura Ambient Floor Lamps
You will be able to see the full list of available preset scenes for Aura Ambient Floor Lamps.
Custom scenes
Custom scenes created for one individual floor lamp will not appear in a floor lamp group at this time. We are working to improve this in a future version of the app.
Segment control
Aura Ambient Floor Lamp groups do not currently support segment control. This will be updated in a future version of the app.
Expected Result
After creating a group, you can control the selected Aura devices together from the Group Control section of the Aura Labs app.
