How to Enable Bluetooth and Location Permissions for the Aura Labs App
Why Does the Aura Labs app Need These Permissions?
Both Android and iOS require apps to request location access in order to scan for nearby devices via Bluetooth and connect to Wi-Fi. Even though Aura Labs doesn’t track your location, we need permission to complete the setup process.
If you’re having trouble setting up your Aura device, it may be due to missing permissions. The Aura Labs app requires both Bluetooth and Location access to connect your device to Wi-Fi during setup.
If you previously denied access to these permissions, you’ll need to delete and reinstall the app to reset permission prompts.
Why Does the Aura Labs app Need These Permissions?
Both Android and iOS require apps to request location access in order to scan for nearby devices via Bluetooth and connect to Wi-Fi. Even though Aura Labs doesn’t track your location, we need permission to complete the setup process.
iOS Devices
Enable Location Permissions
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Ensure Location Services is ON.
- Scroll down and tap on Aura Labs.
- Set to “While Using the App”.
- Also, turn ON Precise Location for best performance.
Enable Bluetooth Permissions
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down or use the search bar to find Aura Labs.
- Tap Aura Labs and ensure Bluetooth is toggled ON.
Android Devices
Enable Location Permissions
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Location > App location permissions.
- Find Aura Labs in the list.
- Set permission to “Allow only while using the app”.
Enable Bluetooth Permissions
- Open Settings > Apps.
- Tap Aura Labs (or See all apps > Aura Labs).
- Tap Permissions > Nearby Devices.
- Set to Allow.
If You Still Don’t See These Settings
If Bluetooth or Location settings do not appear in the Aura Labs app settings page:
- Delete the Aura Labs app
- Reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play
- Allow all requested permissions during the setup process
Once you’ve confirmed permissions are enabled, restart the setup process in the app.
